Rotations, Bearings & GCSE Success 🧭✨
It has been another busy and exciting couple of weeks on Maths Magician, with new content added to the site, continued progress from students, and the GCSE exam season moving towards its conclusion.
New Learning Modules
Since the last blog, I have added work on:
Understanding Rotations
Understanding and Using Bearings
Both modules introduce new interactive GeoGebra activities, allowing students to explore concepts visually and interactively. These activities have also been designed with a stronger Maths Magician theme, helping to create a more engaging learning experience while maintaining a clear focus on mathematical understanding.
This is part of an ongoing effort to make Maths Magician not only educational, but also enjoyable and memorable for students.
GCSE Update
Students have now completed two of the three GCSE Maths examinations.
The feedback received so far has been very positive, which is encouraging to hear after the hard work students have put in throughout the year.
For some Year 11 students, recent lessons have been their final tutoring sessions before moving on to the next stage of their education. I would like to take this opportunity to wish them every success in their future studies, apprenticeships, careers, and adventures ahead.
Good luck—you have worked hard and should be proud of everything you have achieved.
Maths Magician Towers
Away from the website, things are also changing here at Maths Magician Towers.
At the moment, my tutoring room background consists largely of plasterboard walls while decorating work is underway. Fortunately, this is only temporary, and before long the room will be transformed into its new colour scheme.
Naturally, the walls will soon be painted in the official Maths Magician turquoise!
🔦 Level-Up Spotlight
The Level-Up system continues to demonstrate outstanding engagement:
One learner has now exceeded 8,000 XP, continuing to make impressive progress through Level 12.
Another student is making strong progress through Level 11, while several others are now firmly established in Levels 9 and 10.
Many students continue to climb steadily through the middle levels, showing excellent consistency and commitment.
It’s particularly pleasing to see students continuing to engage with learning activities even during such a busy examination period.
Looking Ahead
With the final GCSE Maths paper still to come, the immediate focus remains on supporting students through the end of the exam season.
Beyond that, I will continue expanding the transformations content, developing more interactive activities, and gradually preparing for the future launch of the Maths Magician YouTube channel once things become a little less hectic.
As always, thank you to students and parents for your continued support.
Keep learning, keep practising, and keep levelling up! 🧙✨
