Perimeter, Relative Frequency & The End of Exam Season 🎓✨
It has been another productive fortnight on Maths Magician, with several new modules completed and the 2026 examination season finally drawing to a close.
New Learning Modules
Since the last blog, I have completed four new modules:
Understanding Perimeter
Perimeter of Rectangles and Squares
Relative Frequency
Reverse Percentage Calculations
These topics cover a wide range of GCSE skills, from geometry and measurement through to probability and percentage reasoning.
The perimeter modules focus on building strong foundations in measurement and problem solving, while Relative Frequency introduces students to experimental probability and interpreting data from real-world situations. Reverse Percentage Calculations is often considered one of the more challenging GCSE percentage topics, so it is great to have this section now available on the platform.
Together, these modules continue to expand the growing collection of learning resources available on Maths Magician.
Exam Season Complete
The final GCSE and A-Level examinations have now taken place.
I would like to wish all students who are moving on to new schools, colleges, sixth forms, apprenticeships, universities, or careers the very best for the future. It has been a privilege to support so many students throughout their studies, and I hope they can look back on their mathematical journey with confidence and pride.
Good luck to everyone awaiting results this summer.
🔦 Level-Up Spotlight
The Level-Up leaderboard continues to show fantastic progress across the site.
One learner is now approaching 8,500 XP, continuing to lead the way through Level 12.
Several students have now reached Levels 10 and 11, demonstrating exceptional long-term commitment.
The middle levels remain highly competitive, with many learners steadily progressing towards their next milestone.
There is also an exciting change coming soon.
Many of the Year 11 and Year 13 students who have now completed their studies will shortly be removed from the leaderboard. While we will miss seeing their names amongst the top levels, this creates a fantastic opportunity for continuing students.
The leaderboard will effectively reset at the top, giving many more students the chance to climb the rankings and challenge for the highest positions. If you’ve been watching those top spots from a distance, now might be the perfect time to start making your move!
Looking Ahead
With the examination season now finished, attention can begin to shift towards developing more content, expanding existing modules, and continuing to improve the Maths Magician learning experience.
There are still plenty of exciting topics to come, and I am looking forward to sharing them over the coming weeks.
Until then, keep learning, keep practising, and keep levelling up! 🧙✨
