Percentages, Speed & Continued Progress 🚀
It’s been another strong fortnight on Maths Magician, with further expansion of key GCSE topics and continued excellent progress across the platform.
New Learning Modules
Since the last blog, two important modules have been completed:
Percentage Calculations – developing confidence in finding percentages of amounts, percentage increase and decrease, and applying these skills to real-world problems.
Speed – covering the relationship between distance, speed, and time, and applying formulas to solve multi-step problems.
In addition, further work has been added to:
One-Sided Inequalities – strengthening algebra skills and understanding how solutions behave on a number line.
Finding the Equation of a Radius in a Circle – building connections between geometry and algebra, particularly linking coordinates and gradients.
These topics continue to build a strong foundation across number, algebra, and geometry.
🔦 Level-Up Spotlight
The Level-Up system continues to show exceptional engagement and progress:
One learner has now reached Level 11, with over 5,600 XP — an outstanding achievement showing long-term dedication.
Another student has moved into Level 10, with strong progress already underway towards the next level.
A large group of students are now working confidently through Levels 7 and 8, demonstrating consistent effort across lessons and independent work.
Progress remains strong across all levels, with many students steadily moving towards their next milestone.
Across the site, engagement remains high, with students continuing to build both confidence and independence in their learning.
Looking Ahead
With more algebra, geometry, and problem-solving content being added regularly, Maths Magician continues to grow as a structured and supportive learning environment.

Independent work
And the Level-Up system
is helping students make measurable and sustained progress.
