New Statistics, Parent Portal & A Fresh Leaderboard π
It has been another productive fortnight on Maths Magician, with new learning content added, an exciting new feature for parents, and a refreshed Level-Up leaderboard ready for the new academic year.
New Learning Modules
Since the last blog, I have completed a new module on Mean, helping students develop confidence in calculating averages and interpreting data.
I have also added a new section on Finding Fractions and Quantities from Ratios. This topic builds on earlier ratio work and develops the important skill of moving fluently between ratios, fractions and real-life problem-solving situations. As with all recent modules, there are plenty of opportunities for students to practise through interactive activities and quizzes.
Introducing the Parent Portal
One of the biggest developments over the past fortnight has been the launch of the new Parent Portal.
All parents of current students should now have access to it.
The aim of the Parent Portal is to bring everything together into one convenient place, making it much easier to keep up to date with your childβs learning. Rather than searching through emails or different areas of the website, parents can now access key information through a single hub.
This is something Iβve wanted to introduce for some time, and Iβm delighted that it is now available.
π¦ Level-Up Spotlight
The Level-Up leaderboard has had its biggest change of the year.
With the Year 11 and Year 13 students now removed following the end of their studies, the leaderboard now contains only active Maths Magician students.
That means every position is now genuinely up for grabs.
Congratulations to everyone who has climbed the rankings, and welcome to those who now find themselves much closer to the top than they were just a few weeks ago.
Some highlights this fortnight include:
A student has moved into Level 12, continuing to lead the way with outstanding dedication.
Strong competition continues through Levels 10 and 11, with several students closing in on their next milestones.
The middle of the leaderboard is becoming increasingly competitive, meaning every quiz, activity and lesson can make a real difference.
If youβve been waiting for your chance to climb the rankings, this is the perfect time.
Looking Ahead
With September fast approaching, work continues behind the scenes to prepare new content, refine existing modules and further develop the Maths Magician platform.
The coming weeks will see even more GCSE topics added, alongside continued improvements to the website as I prepare for another busy academic year.
As always, thank you to all students and parents for your continued support.
Have a fantastic fortnight, keep practising, and keep levelling up! π§β¨
